Sunday should have been a day of rest, but it wasn't. Although
the scheduled startup time was 1 PM, work started early and continued
through the day. There was a lot of picking up heavy objects and
collecting metal appliances, and a lot of just polishing, such as lawn
mowing, tree trimming, cleaning up missed piles of trash. Most
were very tired from yesterdays work, but roaming through town one saw
people still working and finishing up a job already well done.
9:30 AM, by the river looking North on 299
The river front looks nice and clean with one pile of brush still
burning.
10:50 AM, the jail gets painted.
1:04 PM, the iron trim gets a nice coat of black.
12:25 PM, a large junk tractor hets loaded on a flatbed.
1:46 PM, Kathy Lewis and Shelby Hunsaker put the finishing touches
to the jail cleanup.
Nice job, carefully painting the old faded sign with bright yellow
letters.
And this is the final result. Nice!
4:46 PM, brush piles still burning.

4:51 PM, the last signs of the cleanup work are piles of white
trash bags lined up along the Highway.
