The prom is put on by the Junior Class as a gift to the Senior Class.  All students are welcome to the dance, but everyone except Seniors must pay to attend.  Seniors are free  Juniors were responsible for the planning, and decorations and present the prom to the entire High school.

The Junior Class Adviser, Paula Silva oversaw the organization of the event, hired the photographer and music and ordered decorations.

The inside of the gymnasium as decorated with the 50's style disco theme.

All these decorations were managed by the Junior Class.

This 50's style disco diner is what the gymnasium looks like on prom night.

The decorations and music:

The decorations included a "fake" jukebox, some old car facades and a "graffitti wall" and the diner style dance floor.  Darlene Ackridge, a teacher at Big Valley High co-ordinated the design.  Music was provided by Terry "Kid" Albertson from Redding who used to be a radio D.J. and now runs California Kid Entertainment.

This is the jukebox made from scrap material by the juniors.

A plywood cutout of a car was also painted and is used as decor.
