Property Donation for Adin Ambulance Facility

Big Valley Endowment Foundation Property Donation

Adin CA, December 30, 2006

Christmas came early for the communities of Big Valley with the acceptance, on December 20th, of the generous donation of almost ¾ of an acre of land in Adin to the Big Valley Endowment Foundation.

The donors of the property have asked not to be named.  The Foundation has designated this property be used in perpetuity for an emergency medical services facility.  Plans are to construct a building structure which will house ambulances, a training facility, crew housing and offices for Modoc Medical Center’s Adin Ambulance Station.

The land is located on the south end of Adin directly accessing highway 299.

Site work will begin as soon as ground conditions allow.  Much of the site work will be donated by local contractors. Roy Conner Well Drilling will donate drilling a well.  Adin Realty made a generous donation of $2500 to the building fund.

It is hoped by the Foundation that donations will allow building construction to begin in late 2007 or early 2008.

According to Perry Clark, Board President, the Foundation will accept all donations of labor, materials and funding.

If you are interested in learning how you can be a part of this project contact any Foundation Board member.  Board members include Brian Gerig, Dave Bradshaw, Katie Bidwell, Dan Bouse and Jerry Leventon.
