Extension of Deadline to file Declaration of Candidacy
County
Clerk Julie Bustamante announces that the extended deadline for any
person to file a declaration of candidacy for districts in which the
incumbent did not file is 5:00 PM on Wednesday, August 13, 2008.
A person who was an incumbent on August 8th is NOT eligible to file a
declaration of candidacy during this extended filing period. This
extended deadline is not applicable where there is no incumbent to be
elected. Districts with extended openings are:
Community Services Districts:
- Clear Creek CSD - ONE Short Term seat expiring 12/3/2010
- Little Valley CSD - ONE Full Term seat expiring in 2012
Fire Protection Districts:
- Janesville Fire - TWO Full Term seats expiring in 2012
- Madeline Fire - ONE Short Term seat expiring 12/3/2010
- Standish Fire - ONE Full Term, seat expiring in 2012
Hospital Districts:
- Mayer’s Memorial Hospital - ONE Full Term seat expiring in 2012
School Districts:
- Johnstonville Elementary - ONE Full Term seat expiring in 2012
- Lassen Community College - Trustee Area #1 ONE Full Term seat expiring in 2012
- Lassen Union High - ONE Full Term seat expiring in 2012
- Shaffer Elementary - ONE Short Term seat expiring 12/3/2010 andONE Full Term seat expiring in 2012
- Susanville - ONE Full Term seat expiring in 2012
