At the Cub Scout Pack 636 pack meeting, the cub scouts put on a skit. The skit explained each part of the Pledge of Allegiance.
Part of the skit was from Red Skeleton's television show when he explained how he was taught about the Pledge of Allegiance as a boy.
At the pack meeting Warren Ponce, Cody and Tyler Lilburn received their Bobcat badge. Sam Sims and Nicholas Rhodes received their summertime pack award pins along with the other scouts. The stars of the evening were James Rishel and Andrew Arnold, they received the prestigious Arrow of Light Award. They were the first scouts in Pack 636 to earn this award. The Arrow of Light badge is the only badge they may take with them when they go into Boy Scouts.
A New Boy Scout troop has been formed in Big Valley. It will have a patrol in Fall River and a patrol in Bieber. Boys that want to join Boy Scouts may contact Mick Byington at 294-5239.
