Power Pole Fire on Punkin Center Road

Cal Fire takes care of the small fire.

A small grass fire was started by sparks from a utility pole near the end of Punkin Center Rd. At 10:22 AM, Cal Fire (CDF) was dispatched to the scene. Response was delayed by about 20 minutes as Cal Fire was away

from their home at Bieber Station doing training. At about 10:40 AM A single engine from Lookout arrived. Significantly absent was the Bieber Volunteer Fire Department.

This was a very small grass fire which scorched the utility pole and was located near a ranch. The fire was contained well before any fire departments arrived.
