NEW FHA-HERO OFFICERS INSTALLED
On Tuesday, May 22, members and guests attended the Big Valley FHA-HERO Installation and Awards Banquet. The menu for the evening included chips and homemade salsa, chicken enchiladas, Mexican style rice and beans and a taco/tostada bar. Delicious strawberry shortcake ended the meal with a flourish. The meal was served by the Big Valley members of the FFA.
The program for the evening featured a welcome by outgoing chapter president Maile Juranits who also led the opening ceremonies. Leah Ackley delivered the invocation and presented the review of the year with a slide show. Tierney Carmichael recited the FHA-HERO Creed. Ms. Yonehara gave out awards and certificates of appreciation. Highlights included The High Point Winner of the Year, Silvia Moran and three graduating seniors, Maile, Leah and Silvia receiving special recognition red rose bouquets.
