The Big Valley Coaches were concerned with the week off for the fair (BYE) and then the first week of school, on how the Cardinals would come out and play. Although, Big Valley won there were many corrections needed to be made.
"We will work on those corrections this week before we travel to Chico for our match against Champion Christian replied, Coach Rhodes." Last year Big Valley beat Champion Christian on a hail mary pass in the last seconds of the game here in Bieber.
Big Valley plays one more preseason game before the league opener Friday, September 17th against Butte Valley here at home.
Standouts against Elk Creek, were Tyrel martin with 223 yards rushing and Nick Shultz with a 42 yard interception return for a touchdown. Defensively, Tyler Owens and Freddy Rodriguez led with their hard hitting defensive play.
