Independance Day Squaredance Event
Lassen Pines RV Resort and well known square caller, Larry Ward, are presenting a Square Dance Event starting Saturday July 3rd through Sunday July 4th. Larry Ward, formerly from Hollywood, is now calling for 3 groups at all levels in Reno. Larry Ward has been calling square dancing, as well as teaching ballroom dancing for over 60 years to all ages and in many countries.
The workshops and dancing will be held at the Bieber Veterans Memorial Hall. There will be workshops at the Hall in Bieber on Saturday morning from 10-11:30am and Sunday afternoon from 1:30 to 3:00 pm.
Dance ho-downs with rounds start at 7:30p.m. and squares start at 8 pm and run until 10 p.m.. Traditional square dance clothing is not required: casual attire is acceptable. This event will be open to local residents who have at least a familiarity with Mainstream level square dancing or round dancing. Call Barbara De Oca for more information at 530 917-7080. Cost for entire workshop and dances is $17.50/person. There is a BBQ at Lassen Pines RV Resort on Sunday, July 4th from 5:30 to 7:00 at a cost of $15.00/person. Reservations are required.
